Our Responsibilities

1. Develop and oversee the implementation of the National Cybersecurity Strategy.
2. Identify and protect the National Critical Sectors (CNI) and related entities.
3. Provide cybersecurity protection by developing standards, guidelines, procedures, and policies.
4. Build and oversee the implementation of the risk assessment framework.
5. Build the national incident response framework and mechanisms as well as implement it in coordination with the related entities.
6. Organize cybersecurity auditing and assessment at the national level.
7. Manage a unified platform to detect, analyze, respond to, and contain cybersecurity threats and incidents in CNI.
8. Organize, control, and supervise the mechanisms for sharing information and data related to cybersecurity between CNI entities.
9. Spread cybersecurity awareness among the society.
10. Build national capacities and participate in the preparation and provision of development training programs in cybersecurity, in coordination with the relevant authorities.
11. Set professional standards for cybersecurity cadres.
12. Approve national cybersecurity Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and national measures.
13. Prepare reports to address cybersecurity maturity at national and CNI sectors level.
14. Propose and express opinions on draft laws, regulations and decisions related to cybersecurity.
15. Cooperation and coordination with other countries, and international and regional organizations.
16. Representing the Kingdom in regional and international conferences, meetings, and forums.
17. Share knowledge and experience regionally and internationally.
18. Foster research and development in cybersecurity.
