The NCSC Collaborates With the University of Bahrain
The National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), in collaboration with the University of Bahrain (UoB), conducted a session titled “Exploring Cybersecurity and its Applications.” The session was designed to educate attendees on the significance of cybersecurity, promote awareness, and inspire them to consider cybersecurity as a potential career path.
Mr. Ahmed Ebrahim, Acting Chief of the Cybersecurity Monitoring Section at the National Response Directorate within the NCSC, delivered the session to the students. He highlighted key strategies for managing digital security while using the internet and emphasized the importance of safeguarding data from cyber threats, including hacking, phishing, and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.
University professors and students were informed about the importance of implementing cybersecurity practices to prevent attacks, including the use of strong passwords and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
The NCSC and UoB aim to enhance students’ cybersecurity awareness while equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to effectively address cyber risks.
