The CEO of the NCSC Participates in the Fifth Gulf Virtual Conference

His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed AlKhalifa, CEO of the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), participated in and emphasized the significance of attending the Fifth Gulf Virtual Conference. The conference focused on discussing cybersecurity strategies and policies, presenting the latest advancements in digital security technologies, and offering effective technical solutions to address the growing threat of cyberattacks, driven by rapid digital transformation. The conference brought together international speakers, national officials, heads of cybersecurity centers, and experts from various countries. It was held from June 3 to 5 in the State of Kuwait.

H.E. Sheikh Salman led the Kingdom of Bahrain’s delegation at the Fifth Gulf Virtual Conference and Exhibition for Cybersecurity Challenges, themed “A Secure Digital Environment.” The conference aimed to align the efforts of Gulf countries in supporting the cybersecurity framework within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). During the event, the CEO addressed the importance of cooperation between the GCC and international countries in combating the rising number of cyberattacks targeting institutes and the critical national infrastructure.

The conference attendees exceeded 250 experts and decision makers in the field of cybersecurity, which shows its importance in discussing cybersecurity strategies, policies and global issues related to risks and threats.
