The NCSC and the University of Bahrain Explore Ways to Strengthen Cybersecurity Research
Under the framework agreement between the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) and the University of Bahrain (UoB) to advance knowledge and research in cybersecurity, a team from the NCSC, led by Mr. Yusuf Mohammed Mothanna, Director of Cyber Policy Directorate, met with Dr. Hessa Jassim Al-Junaid, Dean of the College of Information Technology at UoB, to discuss ways to strengthen cybersecurity research and its importance for researchers in the field.
During the meeting, the Director of the Cybersecurity Policies Directorate at the NCSC emphasized that cybersecurity is one of the most vital scientific fields, keeping pace with technological and digital developments. He highlighted that the collaboration between the NCSC and UoB aims to encourage researchers, enhance their skills and practices, and enable them to produce innovative scientific research in cybersecurity.
The Dean of the College of Information Technology emphasized the University’s commitment to equipping researchers with scientific research skills and enhancing their capabilities to improve research outputs. She praised the ongoing collaboration between the University and the Center, noting its significant role in advancing research in the field through continuous monitoring and coordination between both parties.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the importance of participating in cybersecurity academic conferences to foster creativity, innovation, and scientific thinking in the field.
