National Cyber Security Center Organizes a Workshop to Educate American School of Bahrain Faculty Members on the Notion of Cyber Security
The National Cyber Security Center held a 'Cybersecurity Fundamentals Program' workshop for the faculty, administrative staff, and information technology team at the American School of Bahrain to promote and educate students about cybersecurity.
The workshop covered several important topics, including cybersecurity, the difference between cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities, cyber-attacks and risks, the threats school encounter such as ransomware and social engineering, and best practices for detecting, managing, and protecting school network from cyber risks.
During the Workshop, the teaching staff, administrative staff, and information technology team learned about anti-virus software, how to protect electronic devices from hacking, how to protect themselves against cyber fraud, and how to safeguard the school network and help students reduce cyber risks.
This workshop was organized by the National Cyber Security Center as part of its awareness programs to increase cyber awareness among educational institutions, the public and private sectors, and society. At the end of the workshop, cyber tips for avoiding fraud and cyber dangers were presented.
