Bahrain participates in GCC Ministerial Committee for Cybersecurity

HE Shaikh Salman bin Mohamed Al Khalifa, CEO of the National Cyber Security Center, participated in the first meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Cybersecurity Ministerial Committee on Sunday, 23rd of October 2022, at the headquarters of the Secretariat General in Riyadh.

The meeting was attended by a number of GCC senior cybersecurity officials. The meeting discussed topics related to cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and joint procedures to address cyber threats, all of which will improve readiness to deal with any potential cyber risks and innovative solutions to confront them.

During the meeting, the first Gulf cybersecurity exercise was launched, aimed at enhancing cooperation and information sharing among the GCC countries, exchanging experiences among the national cadres specialized in cybersecurity to raise the level of cyber readiness and readiness to confront cyber risks.
