The NCSC Organizes an Awareness Lecture for Shura Council Members

The National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), in cooperation with the Shura Council’s General Secretariat, organized an awareness lecture for Shura Council members as part of efforts to implement the National Cyber Security Strategy. The session reflects the shared commitment to strengthening cyber readiness and safeguarding Bahrain’s digital ecosystem.

The lecture outlined the NCSC’s role in supporting the national cybersecurity framework through developing regulatory standards, enhancing readiness, and promoting coordination among relevant entities. It also addressed major cyber risks and stressed the importance of preventive measures and best practices in information protection.

The key topics included cybersecurity governance and information security requirements, with a focus on the legislative authority’s role in supporting regulatory frameworks and national policies that reinforce information security and ensure the integrity of parliamentary processes.

Both sides highlighted the importance of continued collaboration in awareness and capacity-building initiatives to strengthen institutional awareness, promote sound cybersecurity practices, and support information security and digital services at the national level.
