HM King attends conclusion of national virtual exercise "Azm Al Watan 1"
Manama, Dec. 24 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, attended the conclusion of the national virtual exercise "Azm Al Watan 1" at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Supreme Defence Council. The exercise was led by the Royal Guard of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, followed the exercise via video conference.
Upon arrival, His Majesty the King was received by Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF; Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser, Commander of the Royal Guard, Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council and Director of the Exercise; and Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of Royal Guard Special Operations.
Lt. Gen. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad briefed His Majesty the King on the exercise that is part of the ongoing efforts to enhance national readiness. His Highness expressed his gratitude for HM the King’s continuous support that contributed to the sustained and comprehensive development of all sectors in the Kingdom.
During a video conference call with HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Majesty expressed thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the government led by His Royal Highness, as well as for HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s directives and continuous follow up with the ministries and other government institutions participating in the exercise, which ensured the success of this important national exercise.
Following this, HM the King held a remote meeting with HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and senior officials involved in the exercise, where His Majesty was briefed on the exercise and the efforts undertaken to ensure its success. HM the King thanked the participants for their dedication in successfully completing the national exercise.
The NCSC Participates in the Virtual National Exercise “Azm Al-Watan 1”
The National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) participated in the virtual national exercise “Azm Al-Watan 1,” aimed at strengthening coordination and integration among national entities and ensuring readiness across key sectors. The exercise reflects the leadership’s commitment to monitoring national readiness across various sectors, strengthening Bahrain’s capabilities to protect critical infrastructure and vital systems, and supporting national preparedness to address diverse cyber challenges and threats.
Participants noted that the exercise tested the effectiveness of national plans and security measures. They praised His Majesty the King’s directives, which emphasize unity and teamwork to maintain the Kingdom’s security and stability. They affirmed that the outcomes would support national readiness and advance cybersecurity capabilities, reinforcing Bahrain’s vision to be a regional and global leader in this vital field.
