The NCSC Partners with GPIC to Boost Digital Safety Awareness in the Industrial Sector
The National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) partnered with the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) as part of its ongoing efforts to build a robust cybersecurity culture across all sectors. The collaboration supports GPIC’s awareness campaign targeting employees in the industrial sector and comes as part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month activities.
During the event, the NCSC delivered an awareness lecture emphasizing the importance of strengthening understanding of digital risks and the role employees play in protecting operational systems from cyber threats. The session featured real-world examples of cyberattacks targeting industrial facilities worldwide, demonstrating how such incidents occur and their impact on operational continuity and production. These insights helped raise participants’ awareness of the importance of implementing preventive measures and technical safeguards.
The organization of this lecture comes as part of the NCSC’s ongoing efforts to enhance cybersecurity awareness across national institutions. It also aims to strengthen their readiness to protect digital infrastructure and ensure business continuity in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
