The CEO of the NCSC Affirms the Importance of the AICS 2025

His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed AlKhalifa, CEO of the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), affirmed that hosting the third edition of the Arab International Cybersecurity Conference and Exhibition (AICS) reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to strengthen an advanced digital ecosystem distinguished by trust, resilience, and readiness. His Excellency noted that the event marks a significant milestone in enhancing the integration of knowledge, technology, and practical expertise in the field of cybersecurity.

His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa noted that the participation of leading global experts and the partnership with DEF CON reflect the Kingdom of Bahrain’s growing international stature in leading innovative initiatives within the cybersecurity field. The CEO affirmed that Bahrain is not only keeping pace with global developments but is actively contributing to shaping and advancing them in ways that support sustainable development and strengthen the nation’s ability to confront rapidly evolving cyber threats.

His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa added that the NCSC continues to operate under a comprehensive vision focused on developing national policies and frameworks. The CEO noted that the Center is also working to strengthen collaboration with international institutions and to build a comprehensive framework for training and innovation. He affirmed that empowering national talent remains a key pillar in all initiatives and programs implemented by the Center.

His Excellency emphasized that the conference provides a valuable opportunity to establish strategic partnerships and share the latest practical expertise. The event contributes to strengthening national preparedness, fostering a secure and supportive environment for digital growth in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and advancing the transition toward a sustainable and prosperous digital economy.

The third edition of the AICS marks the regional debut of DEF CON Village in the Middle East, as part of a strategic partnership with one of the world’s leading cybersecurity conferences. The event also attracts global speakers and experts, alongside wide participation from national cybersecurity authorities, major technology companies, and academic institutions, reflecting the Kingdom’s commitment to fostering knowledge exchange and expanding avenues of cooperation in addressing escalating cyber threats.
