The NCSC Participates in the 15th MENA Cybercrime Task Force Meeting

The National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), represented by Senior Cybersecurity Specialist Ms. Maryam Abdulrazaq Alrayes, participated in the 15th Meeting of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Cybercrime Task Force. The meeting was organized by INTERPOL’s Cybercrime Directorate in cooperation and the Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar. The meeting was attended by representatives of member countries in the region.

The meeting featured a series of specialized training sessions in collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), along with panel discussions led by a group of international experts. These sessions addressed prominent emerging regional cyber threats and the challenges associated with combating cybercrime.

During her participation, Ms. Maryam Abdulrazaq Alrayes emphasized the importance of strengthening regional coordination, as well as the exchange of best practices and expertise among member states. She highlighted the critical role of cooperation in addressing evolving cybercrime and enhancing response efforts.

The meeting aims to support security cooperation efforts between INTERPOL and countries in the MENA region by enhancing joint operations and promoting the exchange of information, as well as technical and technological expertise. These efforts contribute to strengthening the readiness of relevant authorities and ensuring a coordinated and effective response to the growing cyber threats.
