The National Cyber Security Center and the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration Discuss Cooperation to Spread Cybersecurity Culture in the Public Sector
The Outreach and Awareness Directorate at the National Cyber Security Center met with the concerned directorates at Bahrain Institute of Public Administration, to explore ways of cooperation to spread Cybersecurity awareness and to encourage research in this field for public sector employees in the kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, the parties highlighted the importance of measuring the current state and maturity level of cybersecurity awareness in its operational and administrative aspects, as well as the mechanisms that will support the goals of improvement and raising the bar higher wherein the role of the human factor in maintaining the safety and security of critical infrastructures in the Kingdom was emphasized.
They NCSC conveyed an initial vision for research topics related to the behavioral and administrative aspect of Cybersecurity, and stressed on the role of the government sector leaders in promoting a culture of cybersecurity and develop organizational policies in compliance with global cybersecurity standards, in alignment with the National Cybersecurity Strategy, which contributes to upgrading the government work system and achieving Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
