The Outreach and Awareness Directorate and the Anti-Cybercrime Directorate meet with the Head of the Family and Child Prosecution to discuss child protection issues

The National Cyber Security Center's Outreach and Awareness Directorate and the Directorate of Anti-Corruption, Economic and Electronic Security's Anti-Cyber Crime Directorate met to address matters pertaining to child protection and safety online with the Family and Child Prosecution at the Public Prosecution.

The discussions that took place during the meeting accessed the threat landscape and cases affecting children online. In addition, the importance of the efforts for strengthening the child protection system’s posture in the kingdom of Bahrain by enhancing children’s awareness and promoting a culture of cybersecurity was highlighted in alignment with the National Cyber Security Strategy and the Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI).

The meeting aims to further the development of the children rights protection system in the Kingdom in line with the national initiative “Child Online Protection Program”, where the National Cyber Security Center aims to cooperate with other entities in the Kingdom and abroad, to implement the initiative on many aspects, including legislative, regulatory, and educational aspects.
