Deputy CEO of Cyber Operations opens 'Cyber Exercises for the Health Sector' Workshop
H.E Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohamed bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa, Deputy CEO of Cyber Operations, inaugurated the “Cyber Exercises for the Health Sector” workshop. The workshop is organized by the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) in cooperation with the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA). From the 16th to the 18th of August, with the participation of a number of specialists in the fields of security, technology, information systems and specialists in the cyber security field in the governmental and private health sector in the Kingdom.
The workshop is a Cyber Drill for the Health sector that aims to assess the cyber readiness of the sector, discussing potential security risks and how to mitigate them and reduce their impact. The workshop also aims in presenting the tools and knowledge required to mitigate security threats and cyber-attacks.
To conclude the workshop, the participants were divided into several groups, with the aim of conducting an exercise to simulate cyber-attacks and encourage the participants to compete to monitor cyber threats and contribute to mitigate them. The exercise depends on applying the skills and tools the participants acquired during the workshop.
