The CEO of the NCSC Participates in the African Cybersecurity Forum
His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed AlKhalifa, CEO of the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), participated in the African Cybersecurity Forum, titled “Artificial Intelligence and Trusted Cloud: A Pillar for Strengthening Cybersecurity.” The forum, organized by the General Directorate of Information Systems Security in collaboration with Smart Africa, took place from February 3 to 5, in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco.
H.E. Sheikh Salman took part in a panel discussion, titled “Strengthening Africa’s Digital Defenses,” which focused on enhancing digital resilience in Africa through the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and trusted cloud technology.
H.E. Sheikh Salman shared the Kingdom of Bahrain’s experience with trusted cloud technologies and strategies for safeguarding digital infrastructures while utilizing AI to monitor cyber threats. The CEO also emphasized the significance of international collaboration, stressing the need to exchange knowledge and expertise to foster a safer digital future.
H.E. Sheikh Salman affirmed that the African Cybersecurity Forum is a crucial and foundational step in exploring strategic initiatives in the field of AI. He also highlighted its role in fostering partnerships between nations to address various digital challenges and shared cybersecurity threats. These threats, if left unaddressed, could negatively impact both society and national and global economies.
H.E. Sheikh Salman expressed his confidence in the forum’s outcomes, noting the expertise and experience of the participants, which will significantly contribute to advancing the objectives of the Kingdom of Morocco’s General Directorate of Information Systems Security.
