The NCSC Conducts a Workshop at the Ministry of Oil and Environment
The National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) conducted an awareness workshop at the Ministry of Oil and Environment (MOO), titled “Cyber Security: Fundamental Concepts and the Role of Decision-Makers in Risk Management and Protection.”
In attendance were Mr. Faihan Mohammed Al-Faihani, Undersecretary of the MOO, as well as some of the ministry’s directors and specialists from senior management in efforts to encourage cybersecurity awareness and protect the national infrastructure, which align with the MOO’s awareness strategy for 2024.
Ms. Aysha Ahmed Haji, Director of Outreach and Awareness Directorate, led the workshop, highlighting the significance of understanding cyber threats, their evolution, and their potential impact on the ministry. The director emphasized the crucial role of the MOO’s cybersecurity team and the importance of fostering cybersecurity awareness.
Additionally, the director outlined key objectives aimed at assisting leaders in making informed decisions on cybersecurity strategies. The director also discussed the need for collaboration among all government entities to safeguard data, address emerging threats, and continue advancing cybersecurity awareness within the MOO.
